Passive Income Just Isn’t For Me

The number of times in the past 365+ days I have looked up “The easiest way to make passive income?” on Google, Medium, and YouTube is probably embarrassing. I am 25 years old, with a full-time job, retirement accounts, investment accounts, and a small business that I love dearly. However, that isn’t enough money, I need more. Why can’t I be like that guy on TikTok who makes $1,000 monthly on TikTok Shop? How about the dude with a faceless YouTube channel who makes $20k a month? Maybe even the chick who sells e-books and makes millions through automatic promotion on Zapier integrations? Perhaps my all-time favorite is the affiliate link websites!

I am here to tell you that I have legitimately almost tried it all.

These strategies definitely work, and I am by no means saying the individuals who make money through this method do, in fact, make money passively. However, these people promoting it fall into a few different categories.

  1. They were super early on the trending method, hence why they are the top 1% of successors.
  2. They are making content to promote their “passive income” sources and continue growing. (Love The Hustle!)
  3. By 150% ONLY focusing on building and investing in the strategy. (The only realistic approach to actually making passive income.)
